Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle, the reverse with two visible rivers securing the eagle in position, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch which emanates from an oval plate, maker marked W. DEUMER, LDENSCHEID, measuring 44. 04 mm
